Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to set out the conditions for using the website operated by 명동리앤한의원 (the "Clinic") (the "Website") and the Website's member services, and the rights and obligations of the Clinic and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. "User" means a person who accesses the Website and uses it in accordance with these Terms, and includes members and visitors who are not members.
2. "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and completed member registration.
3. "Member services" means the Website functions provided to members as set out in Article 6.
4. "Online consultation" means a service in which a person leaves an inquiry through the Website's consultation request form and the Clinic contacts or answers the person. Online consultation is not medical treatment, and diagnosis and prescription are made only through in-person treatment at the Clinic.

Article 3 (Posting, Effect, and Amendment of the Terms)

① The Clinic posts these Terms on the Terms of Use screen linked from the bottom of the Website's main screen.

② The Clinic may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions. When amending them, the Clinic will give notice on the Website, stating the effective date and the reason for the amendment, from 7 days before the effective date; for amendments unfavorable to members, it will give notice from 30 days before the effective date and also notify members by email.

③ A member who does not agree to the amended Terms may withdraw. If the Clinic, when giving notice under ②, clearly stated that "a member who does not express refusal by the effective date will be deemed to have agreed," and the member does not express refusal by the effective date, the member is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

④ Previous versions of the Terms can be viewed under "Previous versions" at the bottom of this screen.

Article 4 (Matters Not Provided in the Terms)

Matters not provided in these Terms are governed by relevant laws and the Clinic's Privacy Policy.

Article 5 (Member Registration)

① Only persons aged 14 or older may register as members.

② Member registration is completed when a user enters an email address and password, agrees to these Terms, confirms being 14 or older, and completes email address verification. If the Clinic offers Kakao or NAVER account login, a user starting with such an account also sets an email address and password and goes through the same procedure.

③ If the Clinic provides an account linking function, a member may, after registration, link a Kakao or NAVER account to the member account or remove the link.

④ The Clinic may refuse a registration application falling under any of the following, or, if it learns of such a case after registration, may suspend use or process withdrawal.

1. Where another person's email address or information is used
2. Where the applicant is under the age of 14
3. Where false information is entered or registration is attempted by automated means

Article 6 (Member Services)

The services the Clinic provides to members are as follows.

1. Viewing the history of and answers to online consultations submitted while logged in
2. Automatic entry of contact details in the online consultation request form
3. Setting the method for receiving notices such as consultation answers (email, KakaoTalk AlimTalk)
4. Consenting to receive advertising information and withdrawing that consent (if the Clinic operates the sending of advertising information)
5. Viewing materials the Clinic makes available only to members
6. Viewing and correcting My Account information, managing Kakao and NAVER account links (if provided), and withdrawal

Article 7 (Obligations of Members)

① Members must not engage in any of the following acts.

1. Stealing another person's information or entering false information
2. Allowing another person to use one's account, or transferring or lending the account
3. Impersonating Clinic staff or related persons
4. Interfering with the operation of the Website, or accessing or submitting requests in large volumes by automated means
5. Infringing the copyright or other rights of the Clinic or others
6. Any other act contrary to relevant laws

② Members must manage their own email address and password, and must notify the Clinic immediately upon learning that their account has been used by another person.

Article 8 (Obligations of the Clinic)

① The Clinic complies with relevant laws and these Terms and endeavors to provide the Website stably.

② The Clinic protects members' personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

③ If an opinion or complaint raised by a user is justified, the Clinic will handle it without delay; if it is difficult to handle immediately, the Clinic will notify the user of the reason and the processing schedule.

Article 9 (Provision, Change, and Suspension of Services)

① In principle, the Website is provided 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

② The Clinic may temporarily suspend all or part of the Website if there is an unavoidable reason such as inspection or replacement of equipment, a failure, suspension of service by a telecommunications provider, or a natural disaster. If advance notice is possible, the Clinic will give notice on the Website; if not, it will give notice afterward.

③ The Clinic may change the content of member services as necessary for operational or technical reasons, and if a change is unfavorable to members, it will give advance notice by the method in Article 3②.

Article 10 (Notice Regarding Medical Information)

① Medical information on the Website, such as treatment information, is general guidance and is not a diagnosis or prescription for an individual user's condition. Treatment results may vary from person to person.

② Answers to online consultations are general guidance given based solely on what the user has written and do not replace medical treatment. Accurate diagnosis and treatment require visiting the Clinic and receiving treatment.

③ In case of urgent symptoms or an emergency, do not wait for an online consultation; contact 119 or the nearest emergency medical institution.

Article 11 (Online Consultation)

① Both members and visitors who are not members may request an online consultation, and a consultation concerning a child under the age of 14 is requested by the legal representative (guardian) on the child's behalf.

② Consultation content and photos are not made public and can be viewed only by the member who wrote them and by authorized Clinic staff. Consent to the processing of sensitive information under the Privacy Policy is required to send consultation content and photos.

③ The Clinic makes contact within its office hours in the order in which consultation requests are received and according to the Clinic's circumstances, and does not guarantee contact at any particular time.

④ The Clinic may delete, without answering, requests that impersonate another person or are judged to be advertising or spam.

Article 12 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

① A member may withdraw at any time on the "My Account" screen or request withdrawal using the Clinic's contact details. Upon withdrawal, the member can no longer log in immediately, and the account is shown as a non-existent account.

② The information of a withdrawn member is retained with access blocked for the retention period set out in the Privacy Policy and then destroyed.

③ If a member falls under any item of Article 5④ or violates Article 7①, the Clinic may, after giving prior notice, suspend use or process withdrawal. However, where it is necessary to block the member urgently to protect other users, the Clinic may suspend first and give notice afterward.

Article 13 (Protection of Personal Information)

The Clinic processes users' personal information in accordance with relevant laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Clinic's Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy can be viewed at the bottom of every screen of the Website.

Article 14 (Copyright and Use of Website Content)

① Copyright and other rights in content on the Website, such as text, photos, videos, and designs, belong to the Clinic or the original rights holders.

② Users may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, modify, or commercially use Website content without the Clinic's prior permission. However, citing the source and linking to the Website address is permitted.

③ External services linked from the Website (KakaoTalk Channel, NAVER Booking, maps, videos, etc.) are subject to the terms and policies of their operators, and the Clinic is not responsible for the content or operation of external services.

Article 15 (Limitation of Liability)

① The Clinic is not liable where it is unable to provide the Website due to causes beyond its control, such as natural disasters or failures of telecommunications providers. However, this does not apply where there is intent or negligence on the part of the Clinic.

② The Clinic is not liable for damage arising from a member's negligence in managing the account or violation of these Terms. However, where there is also intent or negligence on the part of the Clinic, the Clinic is liable to that extent.

③ The Clinic is not liable for the results of a user's use of Website information based on the user's own judgment without medical treatment. However, this does not apply where there is intent or negligence on the part of the Clinic.

Article 16 (Dispute Resolution, Governing Law, and Jurisdiction)

① The Clinic and users will endeavor to resolve any dispute through good-faith consultation.

② The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to disputes concerning these Terms and the use of the Website, and lawsuits shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

These Terms take effect on the effective date stated at the top of this screen.
