A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial that divided 90 adults with chronic fatigue of unknown cause into Gongjin-dan, Ssanghwa-tang and control groups. In the Gongjin-dan group, the social functioning score of the SF-36 quality-of-life questionnaire was reported to improve at week 4. Differences appeared in only some of the outcomes measured, and treatment lasted 4 weeks.
